Purchased to use as pot covers for some of my plants still in nursery pots as their cache pots were broken in our recent move. Lends a uniform appearance. Can’t really comment on their effectiveness as grow bags. These are medium-sized, light-duty grow bags (not heavy-duty as the product description states). I have planted about half of my vegetable garden in containers this year, and I ordered a variety of grow bags, most in either 7 or 10 gallon sizes. I do have a few smaller ones for herbs. Most are the heavy black type with handles and they are working out very well. The product description mentions that these would be ideal for indoor plants, and they do have a nicer appearance than my other bags and the lack of handles gives them a sleek profile. I would not use them inside of my house, but I do think they would look nice on a patio. The speckled grey color looks almost blue-grey out in the sun which is quite pretty and makes a nice contrast with some of my black grow bags I am using them outdoors, and while they have a rather wide, shallow shape in comparison to my other grow pots, they are also much lighter in weight and don't feel as durable either. They also aren't really all that easy to move around without handles, at least if using them with regular soil. I measured one that had been filled to within 2" of the top and the diameter is 13" and the height is just under 10". For comparison, one of my similarly filled 7 gallon grow bags has. a diameter of 14" and the height is 12". So I'm guessing this is around 5 or 5.5 gallons or so. These seem more suitable for flowers or herbs than most veggies. They will work for what I am using them for, but I would not buy these again. The current price of $19.97 for 5 bags doesn't seem unreasonable, but unless someone specifically wants something light-weight and pretty, I think there are better options available. These are medium-sized, light-duty grow bags (not heavy-duty as the product description states). I ordered these as well as the specked grey version, and they will work for my purposes, but are not quite what I had in mind. After several years of doing a garden in a raised bed, I got tired of dealing with the weeds. So we got these grow bags for tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumber. They’re working great. My vegetable plants are doing very well. The bags seem somewhat thin, but when we filled them they held their shape. They’re also easy to move around which I like. If a few little weeds sprout, easy to pull and maintain. I will definitely use these bags again next year. These were so simple to set up and hold quite a bit. I am using them for growing potatoes and it will more than hold the layers of soil I'll need to put in there. Literally the only downfall is there are no handles so just make sure to put them where you plan to keep them, or put them on rolling stands.I started loving these fabric bags as my container for my plants. Not only that it is cheaper (or affordable), lighweight, it is also breathable! The excess water will also drain on the sides! this one is big enough in width and a decent height.Aside from using this as planters, you can use this with anything in your house. I just used this as my container for dirty rugs.I highly recommend this, and will probably order more. These bags are sturdy when filled. They look great and are strong. Remember you will need to water grow bags more often than pots because they dry faster, but plants are so much more healthy! These grow bags arrive folded flat but fill up and stand well. Once filled they are strong and aerate plants nicely.1 The aesthetics of the grow bag is top-notch: no raised handle, no big logo, and the emphasis is placed on the seemingless integration of the plants with the household.2 It is necessary to hold the bottom of the plant box when moving since the growth bag lacks a handle. However, this is 100% worth it since it is much more elegant in design and I also did not find the need to move the growth bag after its initial set up.3 The bag came with some wrinkles, just like brand new shirts. Don't worry, these smoothed out for me in a matter of days and everything is great now!are quite breathable but the plants seem to be drying out in between waterings.Great planters for hot peppers. I already own the 7 gallon fabric planters with handles which are perfect, but I got these to grow some smaller hot pepper plants which I need to move around to get maximum sun exposure. So far they're doing very well and I'm looking forward to the fall when I can just dump out the soil and fold them up and store away more compactly than any of the plastic and clay ones. The quality of these seems on par with all others I've got, I will be planting some more hot peppers in these we'll see how they do over time, I assume they won't last as long as the plastic/clay counterparts but currently they're a total win. They hold the moisture and the plants seem happy. i would recommend especially if you're tight for storage space end of season, and would like to reuse. The pictures they show here are very deceiving. Makes these look like perfect round pots that can use inside. They are nothing like that. These are basically good for transplanting a plant you want to have above ground and not really move. These don't have handles so and they are flimsy so moving them is not easy at all. They don't hold perfect round shape like in the pictures so don't expect that. Also, you see them have a tree inside the house. There isn't support in these to hold up a tree like that and the only plant that you would be able to have in there would have to be artificial as these do not hold water. Water will just go through them on the bottom and through the sides as it is permeable. Don't want to ruin your floors inside. They are all folded flat when you get them. As you see in my pic, they do hold round shape when filled but again, you don't want to move these. Especially the larger gallon size as there is not strength so will just bend and fold. I never used grow bags before so not sure what to expect of them. Will have to see how my plants are as they are just starting. When this listing caught my eye, I accepted the opportunity to try it out as I was in the process of looking for good growing bags for the upcoming growing season just around the corner. These are very well made bags. The fabric is thick and it feels very durable. I like everything about the bags except the for fact that there are no integrated carry handles which would surely have helped in being able to more easily tote these around when the bags are loaded up with soilThese bags seems well suited to transplanting, but the real reason I wanted to get these was to be able to grow additional large tomato plants outside of my actual garden area. A few YouTube videos had recently caught my eye with the subjects being urban gardeners growing tomatoes.. and even potatoes in sacks similar to these. They were doing it on balconies and decks with amazing results. I think these bags will be perfect for experimenting along those lines very soon. I can't wait.Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of that I have observed with these growing bags so far. They appear to be well made and very sturdy and seem well suited to their intended tasks. At the current listing price of $19.99 for a set of 5,I feel this is in line with the robust construction and I feel this is good value for money. I just would have preferred some sewn on handles to aid in moving them more easily when they have been filled with soil. These would have been perfect if that was the case. I am giving these a rating of 4 out of 5.
