I got this desk to replace the preexisting one in my office. Out of the box, there were a few blemishes on the finish on the top, but I honestly didn't think it was anything to warrant the trouble of a return. Depending upon one's skillset and tools, assembly could be easy or complicated. It could be done by one person, but two will make it go quicker. Took less than an hour to assemble, and that's with making sure all parts were included. A socket set will be your best friend.
